First Things First

I'm a recently graduated 20-something year old who's just moved back home from the north of England. I'm about to spend a year in part-time jobs, volunteering, travelling and doing whatever takes my fancy - including lots of blogging. I began this blog early in 2010 after having attempted (unsuccessfully) keeping numerous others. Here you can read a little bit about me...

My Passions

I am a lover of words, which is one the numerous reasons I have decided to blog. I love writing, whether it be fiction, poetry or letters. It all stems from a passion for literature, ignited when I was introduced to Little Women by my Mum. Since then, novels, poetry and plays - especially those by the classics - have played a huge part of my life. Theatre leaves me with a zest for life; indeed it is after watching Shakespeare that I want to answer life with a big fat 'YES'!

Aside from words, my love lies with dance, music, sport, languages (okay - so it's still words) and Spain.

Random Tidbits About Me

1) I hope to have watched all of Shakespeare's plays by the age of 30
2) Ballet is my favourite form of dance - I love dancing 'en pointe'
3) I still cannot play an entire piece of music on piano without making a mistake (and I've been playing since I was 5!)
4) I go tennis crazy when Wimbledon starts
5) Suprisingly enough, Spanish is my favourite foreign language
